As Product Manager for Customer Service at Rosenbauer, Thomas Kitzler focuses both on refining proven services and products and on developing new service models. His credo is to ensure the operational readiness of fire departments through the best possible and innovative service.
Michael Kristeller is, so to speak, essentially a synonym for the Karlsruhe plant, whose tradition and success dates back to the founding of the company by fire brigade pioneer Carl Metz in 1842. Today’s Rosenbauer Karlsruhe GmbH & Co. KG, of which the managing director is Michael Kristeller, is now the competence center of Rosenbauer for aerial rescue technology.

As an innovation manager and collector of ideas, Georg Pilsner has always listened to new product ideas from his colleagues. According to the motto “Every idea counts”, everyone in the company should have the opportunity to actively contribute to the next firefighting innovation.
The airport fire departments of this world are the focus of Philipp Platzl. As a global product manager for airport rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicles, he deals intensively with the special customer requirements in order to continuously develop and improve PANTHER, escape stairs and co.
“A little experience never hurts,” is Herbert Poellinger’s motto. Since 1992, he has been getting to know the various departments at Rosenbauer at first hand, from development to design engineering and production, right through to sales, and has helped to shape them. After a stopover at Rosenbauer America in Minnesota, he is now responsible for Rosenbauer’s largest market in terms of area and population: the area Asia/Pacific.
At Rosenbauer Deutschland GmbH, Torsten Ritzmann is responsible for all sales activities in Germany, from the HEROS-smart to the PANTHER. As a long-standing fire chief of an association of municipalities’ fire department, he is very familiar with the issues firefighters are facing. His motto: “So far we have had every fire extinguished!”
Continuous research work in order to look behind the diverse and challenging topics of fire departments, to prepare them in an understandable way as well as to make them visible through various publications, to identify relevant issues in customer and practice dialogues and to develop new findings into beneficial solution concepts, to evaluate them and to lead them on the way to helpful innovations – this is the passion of Alexander Ronacher and his team.
Clemens Stangl is Global Product Manager for the Revolutionary Technology (RT) vehicle series and is working on the firefighting vehicle of the future. He was involved in the development of the innovative vehicle concept from the very beginning, helped shape the market launch and now continues to support the product throughout its life cycle.
Marcel Streich is responsible for the product management of all vehicles at Rosenbauer Switzerland – from the crew transport vehicle to the AT and PANTHER, right through to the turntable ladders. But he feels particularly at home at high altitudes, and this not only in the mountains.
Professionally, Stefan Wagner concentrates on extinguishing systems and firefighting vehicle components. His daily challenges involve pumps, foam systems and water turrets as well as general firefighting equipment and their applications in a variety of vehicles, from airport and industrial vehicles to municipal firefighting vehicles.
In a manner of speaking Johannes Wampl is Rosenbauer’s in-house equipment manager. As an expert in the area of “Fire and Safety Equipment“ he travels the international fire department world, and assists fire departments with his specialist knowledge of firefighting helmets and power generators right through to thermal imaging cameras.
In Roland Weber’s professional life, everything revolves around fire! As Global Product Manager, he is responsible for all products that can be used to pump water, mix foam, and thus extinguish fires. This includes, among other things, portable pumps, centrifugal pumps, foam proportioning systems, compressed air foam systems and water monitors.
Andreas Zeller made a name for himself as a “foam pro” during the first years of his career. He was never able to shake off these roots when working on industrial projects in Arabic an North African countries in later years. As Chief Sales Officer, he is responsible for sales and customer service worldwide.
